5 Most Anticipated Movies at Comic-Con

This years Comic-Con is certainly something to be excited for with the collection of future Blockbusters from Iron Man 2 to the much anticipated Twilight:New Moon. With about 130,000 fans attending this gathering for fans of tv shows,movies,video games, and yeah, comic books it will most certainly live up to the fans standards as this Comic-Con is sure to have a multitude for blockbuster movies for fans to check out.

DISTRICT 9

A much anticipated Peter Jackson (Director of Lord of the Rings, King Kong) flick, District 9 will preview at Comic-Con. The film will be produced by Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp.”District 9″ is set in an alternate reality where aliens secretly live as refugees in a South African slum, known to the world as District 9.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON

Obviously the newest offering of the Twilight saga is much awaited, “New Moon,” is going to receive a multitude of screams from tweens and Twilight fans everywhere. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return with now teen idol, Taylor Lautner playing a much bigger role in New Moon.

 

IRON MAN 2

When Iron Man was shown at Comic Con 2007 it silenced all doubters. There was much speculation of how a little known cast and director would bring the Iron Man comics to the big screen. Well, they certainly delivered as Iron Man became the talk of the convention in 2007. Returning for a second go around, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark will help in showing off Iron Man 2 at Comic Con 2009.

AVATAR

The great James Cameron is returning this time with his follow up to the highest grossing film of all time (Titanic), Avatar. Also this project has nothing to do with the TV show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Instead it takes place in the 22nd century on a small moon called Pandora and follows a Marine who falls in love with a tribal princess but gets caught up in the conflict between humans and the inhabitants.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

This really has been a long time coming. This is the first movie footage that is being screened at Comic-Con in 3D.Tim Burton’s 3D version of Disney’s classic, Alice in Wonderland stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.
